The cottage includes two single beds and a day bed, a bathroom with a bath, a fully equipped kitchen, cosy outside area with a fireplace and braai facilities and wifi. There is an ablution just outisde with a shower. Our cottage is situated in our tranquil and bird friendly farm garden. Go to bed with the sound of the Barn Owls heading off to hunt and wake up to the sound of Guinea fowl on your doorstep. If you are lucky our resident Duiker will be grazing outside.

Book a romantic sunset picnic at the dam (1km) or spend the day basking in the sun, while enjoying our famous chicken wings on the braai (Booking essential).

Our glamping tent offers a queen size bed, a fully equipped kitchen and lovely space to braai.

The campsite offers shaded sites in the tranquil garden, our ablution is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Electricity, water, dishwashing facilities and wifi is also on site.

Come and experience a working farm, get to hold the cutest little chicks and see calves born, fish, hike, ride your mountain bike, sail on our 80 hectare dam. Take a drive to the historic battlefields or up to the quaint town of Wakkerstroom.

Our farm borders the world famous Bloodriver Vlei which is one of the largest inland wetlands in the country. It supports no fewer than 150 different bird species. Including Blue Crane, Crown Crane, Spur Winged and Egyptian Geese to name a few. One of the largest groups of grey crowned cranes in the country gathers here; a flock of around 140 birds.

This part of KwaZulu-Natal’s Midlands is a series of gently rolling hills on a plateau almost one thousand eight hundred miles above sea level. When the hills do not predominate then the Mpumalanga Drakensberg escarpment makes its presence known.

Many of the wetlands in the area are of international importance – Wakkerstroom Vlei is a proposed Ramsar site; Seekoeivlei Nature Reserve, just outside Memel, is a Ramsar site with a serious floodplain; whilst Vanger Natural Heritage Site, south-east of Memel, supports a further important wetland.

A Look Inside the cottage

Our one bedroom cottage offers 2 single beds and a day bed (perfect for children), a fully equipped kitchen, an en-suite bathroom with bath, an outside area with fireplace and braai facilities. A short walk to the ablution offers a shower. There is access to free wifi.

Our farm yard offers the perfect spot to pitch your tent or park your Caravan. The site offers only a few sites ensuring peace and privacy. A beautifully decorated bathroom and electricity. Wifi and dishwashing facilities available.
